I was working outside with my new CT-36 and newer RO-150.  A wasp kept trying to chase me off, and a thought occurred.  Quickly removed the sander, ramped up the vacuum setting, etc.  I guess the poor wasp didn't know his Festools, GONE.  [big grin]

I've cleared out entire nests (not without about 40 stings) with shopvacs in the past. I'm sure the Festool would be more efficient at it

i did the same with a wasp in my shop, it was more of a reflex and i felt bad about it right after, what a terrible death.

It's them or us man. You don't have time to consider the moral implications in a war.

[scratch chin]

Man you have got me thinking, when that bloody mouse appears again tonight a 36mm green and black hose is going to be waiting!! [mad] [mad]

A few years ago I replaced the patio doors for my neighbor on an unusually warm autumn afternoon.  As my luck would have it that day was the day that the Chinese ladybugs decided to swarm.  The result was that there thousands upon thousands inside the house.  If you have ever smashed one of those guys you will know the mess and the smell.

I spent about an hour with my shop vac (pre CT 22) sucking them directly down off the walls and ceilings so not to leave stains.

my uncle had a hive of wasps in under a flat roof at his house. he tried to burn ( smoke  is what he should have done but got carried away [wink] thats another story) them out . he then decided to suck them out . he used to good house vac [scared] , a dyson  [smile]. it was very cool lucking seeing all those wasps spin aroound in the clear drum. a few sprays of killer and the problem was gone . but his wife was another problem [huh]

I've been know to suck up the occasional housefly that pesters me once too often while working.  Does that make me Lord of the flies?

Yep, I have gotten rid of hives  under siding and such by setting a Shop Vac tube up outside the entrance before they all come home to roost in the evening. Just let the vac run and suck em all up when they try going into the hive. Sometimes it takes a couple evenings in a row but it works.

Those chinese lady bugs are aweful. And yeah that stink they make  ..........................
