great job !  was wondering why one of the newell post had the fluting one longer than the other which looks nice to follow the angle with the fluting, but none that I noticed we done that way except for that one.?

one thing that also would have looked great, I think would be to angle the fluting to match the railing going down, so each 2x2 would have a 32" lets say flute and the next one would also be 32" but done about 3" or so (whatever it is)  lower to follow the angle of the rail.

but it looks great ! and you did a great job.

i also noticed that you did the flutes both at the same time with that bit?  is that correct?

The Flute isn't longer than the other one   he has just stepped it down/up  its still the same length.

I got back to the job last Saturday to fit airing cupboard out and few small bits like radiator, shelves etc. Took me all day the cupboard needed two bits of wood I couldn't get any as shops where closed so I had to go back. Man it doesn't take long for customers to put there tack/tat back in, as you'll see from pic's.
The doors are beech shaker style in a beech  bead frame. The side cover bits are pine architrave.It's all going to be painted white eggshell sheen.

Deco done but no carpet yet.

Pic for Honey suppose to show you how bottom newel also has angled fluting on the stair side and yes the flutes are same length as in angled top and bottom.

Is anyone still awake. I've been doing Under stair storage on another stair that i did a while ago, anyone want to see?
