In between the usual joinery jobs I still get one or two furniture commissions and this is the latest one, completed today and going out to the client tomorrow.

[attachimg=#]

It is solid European Oak and finished with three coats of oil and will be used for the storage and display of rare and collectable bottles of whisky as he is a member of the Whisky Society and an avid collector.

Just about every Festool I own was used on it and I enjoyed making it.

Looks nice! Like it.

You still got your little dog all warm and cosy.   You have altered you layout Im sure you had your hammer bandsaw der.

You not got round to knocking a door through on da adjacent wall.

Nice project! That would certainly hold a lot of wisky, hope you wouldn't drink it in one night [big grin] [scared] lol.

Stunning work Guy  [thumbs up]  What type of oil did you use ?  I recently tried the Osmo hard wax oil & i realy like it.  Are the doors mortice & tennoned or did  you use a Domino.

Cheers, Woodguy.

Thanks chaps!

Yummy 1/4 sawn, nice!

For raised panels I always use 1/4 sawn as clients do have a habit of sticking furniture next to radiators or in cold conservatories so it can move but wont warp!

Hi JMB, yup the dogs still here, and the Hammer bandsaw is behind the dresser. Hopefully knocking through in a couple of months when it warms up as I will have to do all the raised flooring and put a woodburner in the other stable. Will make a lot of difference to working practice though!

Hi Alan

Thanks! I always use Osmo Exterior oil for oak exterior joinery but this was Liberon Finishing Oil. Have used it a lot on oak furniture and wooden kitchen worktops and never had a problem. Not tried the Osmo Hard Wax oil, you obviously rate it?

You still snowed in?  [big grin] [big grin]

Hey Guy, love it!

First thing I noticed was the species of wood you used and that's one of my visual favorites.  Great job!

Lovely work Guy and a great selection of wood - i like the design and the finish very much !

kind regards, Mike

Thanks Kreg! [smile]

The back is simple tounge and groove, not tried beadboard yet! [big grin]

The client was very pleased! So pleased I have been asked to do two oak window seats/ottomans and a built in wardrobe!

Yeehah!  [big grin] [big grin] More for the Festool fund!! [big grin]

Nice one.  That sounds like a good excuse to treat your shop to the CXS  ;)  On that note, i have been using mine a bit more & if you are driving screws over say 40mm then i think i would go for another C12.  That size & less & the CXS is sweet.
I do love the C12 though  [smile]

I used the R90 2 today!lovely!  [tongue] Heeehee!  Im already using it more than my R150  its so handy take a lot off quickly or get it dead smooth best both worlds and easy to control. Unlike its big brother R150 which needs more than just one hand holding it and a large surface area! I know I made a big boo boo lol!
