I am considering replacing my Elu 96E with the OF 1010, as my Elu is starting to show its age (bit like me!). Hopefully this would provide better dust extraction, finer height adjustment and rail compatibility.

However I wonder what accessories (not cutters as I have quite a few 1/4 inch ones) will make life easier, funds permitting?

This will be used for handheld work only as I have a Trend T11 in a table. So lots of rebates, round overs etc. one of the hassles with the Elu is the tendency to tilt on edge work, how does the 1010 overcome this?

I look forward to the opinion of the FOG experts.

Consider a second edge guide for doing operations on long narrow pieces. Use one on each side of the piece to lock it in and run it down the board without side-to-side movement.

Just had a thought ...... when was this model last upgraded? I wonder if it is due for an upgrade soon, so if it is I might be better waiting for new model.

I doubt it will be replaced anytime soon.

When doing edges I sometimes use the supplied rail guide. When fitted on the rods it's flush with the underside of the router so works perfectly as an extra hand hold to steady it on edges
