OF 1010 and OF 1400 Router Edge Guides

Can the OF 1400 Edge Guide (FES-492636) also be used on the OF 1010?
Or is the rod size/spacing incompatible?

The Guides are different.  The edge guide for the OF 1400 is very robust.  I do not have an of 1010 so I cannot give you more details.

The one for the 1400 is larger and the holes are spaced farther apart....so no they are not interchangeable.

Ya, I can confirm this as I needed different adapters for my MicroFence system for the same reason.

No, I only use the MicroFence adapters, for the most part, for "circle" work, to-date....I originally intended to do some inlay banding, but haven't found a worthy project yet.

I use my MicroFence on the Festool Guide Rails all the time for dados.  I gave up using dado blades on the saw a while back because rarely do I find dead flat ply, and consequently the dados would vary in depth.  Not so anymore using my 1400 and the MicroFence.  Expensive yes, but extremely accurate and versatile.
