Hi guys,

I have an OF 1010 I would like to install in a router table. There is the obvious CMS but I'm not so keen on (table surface is a bit small for my needs).

I like the Incra but it seems the Incra router lift are more suited for the OF 1400.

What options do I have left for a router table but most importantly, a good router lift that would fit the OF 1010.

Thanks for your help and input.

Just my opinion, but I'd go with a Porter Cable router motor in just about any lift/table combination. I'd keep the sweet little 1010 for light hand routing work. The Porter Cable motor chuck can handle 1/2" and 1/4" bit shafts.

I'm in the process of switching over from a porter cable router and Jessem router lift in my router table to an Incra router plate and a Triton TRA001 router.  I'm not a fan of the Phenolic plate that Jessem used in my router lift FX.  The Incra plate is machined aluminum and has holes drilled for mounting the Triton router.  The Triton router has a built in lift so you can go with the much less expensive option of a simple router plate instead of a full lift mechanism.  Router lifts from companies, like Incra, cost the same amount as the Triton router and the Incra router plate together. In essence you are getting the router lift for free

I realize this doesn't answer the OP's question of a lift for the OF 1010 but hopefully it offers another option

The router lift off the CMS can be easily adapted to any table and it fits the 1010. Parts are obtainable via ekat.

Thanks guys, but there isn't any router lift route table combo that would accomodate the OF1010 besides Festool's CMS ?

I love my OF1010 but can't see mounting it in a router table even if there is one available. Is there some reason that you want to do that? Are you so constrained on space or tool availability that it doesn't make sense to buy a dedicated router table lift?

For most jobs, it just won't work very well. A router table router will generally want to be able to use 1/2" shank bits. In a table, you can do dust collection for the whole table so the excellent dust collection of the OF1010 isn't really needed.

Let's start with your intended use for the router table.

The lift in the link below will take the 1010 - found it when i was looking into 1400 options aside from the cms. I would expect they will ship to France

I would echo what others have said and suggest you seriously consider looking at a seperate and probably far cheaper 1/2 router for table mounting. I love my 1010 and it excels at many tasks - some that it should have no right to even be in contention for but table use is not something i think its even worth considering - especially when you take into account the 365 euro its going to set you back for the router lift alone.

As good as the OF1010 must (don't own one but everybody says it is), I'd agree that the 1010 is not a good choice for mounting in a table. Just the fact that it doesn't accept 1/2" bits alone is probably reason enough. Second, having gone through the whole thing of mounting, then "unmounting", then remounting when I only owned one router, I'd say that, unless there is a cost issue, I'd buy a separate router to mount under the table or a router motor to mount in a lift. After years of limping along with second best, I bought an Incra fence/table with a lift and the Porter Cable 7518 motor and my work improved and was more accurate and easy to accomplish immediately. I realize that's a lot of money and not for everyone, but the short answer is I'd look for a different alternative than mounting the 1010 under a table. It just doesn't seem to be meant for that purpose.
