I recently sold my PC plunge router on Craig's List to make room for a new OF 1400.  I also sold all of my various router accessories and jigs, so I have a clean slate to work with.

My question for the group is which of the various accessories that work with the OF 1400 should I buy?  Considering that I don't have an unlimited budget, how would you prioritize your purchase recommendations for me to get the most bang for my bucks?  I am also considering the idea of investing in MicroFence instead of Festool accessories.

My woodworking skills are fairly advanced.  I make a variety of cabinets and other furniture and use a PC 7518 in a Woodpeckers/Incra table.

I will probably order the 1400 this week and would like to order a basic set of accessories for edge treatments and profile copying at the same time, so your input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have the 1400 and a similar set up with the PC7518 in a woodpecker lift for the heavy lifting so to speak.  Like you I'd think the microfence would do you right. I've been wanting one of those myself.  The only ofther think I could think of is to make yourselfe a larger bace out of lexan for a bit of good balance.  I mean the ege stops are fine.  I have the MFT/3 and rail stop and I found this quite handy.

It can also be split so you can suspend your router between two rails.  Really nice!    You will enjoy the router.

I totally agree with Bones.  The only other "must have" accessory is an edge guide.  It DOES have a micro-adjust feature... I'm not certain how much more micro you could want to go, but it's a must-have in my book!
