The Edge Guide for the OF 1400 router should come with the clear plastic dust chute, correct? It's pictured on the website, but mine was chute-less.

Wow, that's not a cheap edge guide, but holy mackeral, that's well made!

Yes, I got one with mine.

Thanks, guys. This should be fun...going back to the local dealer a week and a half later with a missing part issue and without the original box which had a ripped up corner.

I had a missing thumb screw from the OF-2000 router that Mcfeely's sent out right away.

I still have two boxes unpaced now for about six weeks. The boom arm and the VS system. I wanted to get them before the price increase. Hopefully there isn't anything missing. Don't want loose stuff lying around.

Well, a call to our local dealer and a call to David at Festool HQ and the issue is resolved.

I guess Festool had a batch of these that didn't get the dust chute thrown in the box. I called on Tuesday at 11:40am and the box was delivered a few minutes ago. That's service!

Here's yet another example of Festool's commitment to quality and dealer support. David asked where I purchased it, then the specific location of the store (they have two locations in town) so he could follow up with them to be sure their stocked units had the dust chute! It turns out that the one on the shelf at the store did not have the chute, so the issue will be resolved before the buyer of that unit knows about it.

Yet another example of Festool's quality in their customer and dealer support.

These are really the kind of people with whom you like to spend your money.

How many other factory reps would go that extra mile?

Great news -- Festool has always been a stand-up company to deal with in my experience.  Of course, talking about "LIKING" to spend my money (and lots of it, by the way) may still be a little over the top, although I do take your meaning.  ;D
