OF 1400 Micro Depth Adjuster Problems

I can barely use the micro depth adjuster anymore, seems to have lost it's full range of movement from when I first got it, a dozen clicks before it won't turn anymore.  Is this something that can be easily cleaned?

Loosen the lock on the depth rod. Now turn the micro adjust knob fully one direction. Now as the knob is turned in the opposite direction count the number of turns it takes to reach the end of travel. Divide this number by two. Turn the knob that number of times from the end of travel at either end and the adjuster will be centered in its adjustment range. Now the depth rod can be locked to the adjuster and will have the maximum flexibility you are looking for. Good routing!!!

I hate math so I took it apart, removed the C clip on the rod removing it, unscrewed & removed the collar retainer and unscrewed and removed the collar.  Dirt had fallen down between the micro adjust knob and rod and was clogging up the threads.  cleaned and dry lubed it, reassembled and full range of motion restored.
