OF 2200 Router Suction adapters

I'm trying to figure out how to connect a 2200 router to my existing dust collector.
It makes sense to get a Festool hose to connect directly to the router but I'm not sure which one is correct.

Are there any adapters available to connect the Festool hose to a larger dust collector system?

I can't help with adapter, but note that dust collector (stationary, high volume low pressure) won't work well with hand power tools. Those require shop/household vacuum/extractor (low volume, high pressure).

Which hose is going to be a tradeoff.  Larger diameter hose (  like the 50mm) will carry more dust but is harder to manage.

I suspect most guys will rec. the 36mm hose for the 2200.

I have a shop built 2-stage dust collector made from a harbor freight collector with a cyclone and filter added.  Sawdust drops into a 55 gal fiber drum.  Since I will be using the router to flatten slabs a small dust collector like the Festool won't hold the volume of chips that I'll be making.

The main suction hose it 5" and will need to be reduced to a couple of small hoses.  One for the router (size?) and one for the enclosure on the sled, which is 40mm.  I may need to put a "Y" in the main hose with a blast gate to regulate the volume of air.[attachimg=1]

Just posted this in another thread but if you need a hose for using with festool and other tools this hose works very well. the end detaches and you can swap easily between the different ends. Cen-tec hose
