Pompeio said:I recently purchased the OF 1010 through the recon sale. The router looked as if it had never been used. I was able to remove the collet nut but the preinstalled 8mm collet itself remained on the shaft.
I spoke to the service department and, after being unable to remove the collet, returned it and they were able to remove it and install the 1/4” collet. I sent it in on a Wednesday and had it back on the following Tuesday. Excellent service!

That's weird, I wonder if the collet was over tightened at one point? Maybe some rust/corrosion inside the collet?
