OF1010

Hi guys, I've just recently bought a OF1010 to replace my knackered trend T4, I knew when I bought the 1010 that they don't make a 16mm guide bush for the router, and that leigh do make an adaptor plate that takes the American style guide bushes, but I'm really struggling to find said adaptor, I believe it's model number 704R, but everywhere I've tried hasn't got any in stock.

Does anyone know of a place in the UK that sells them, has stock, before I try and bastardize a festool guide bush to take a 16mm adaptor

Oh well.  Maybe a call straight to Leigh?  I talked to them direct once when getting the D4R, they're good people.  BTW and by coincidence, I just ordered the 1010 adapter myself last night.

Although the metal 704R is loads better, Festool do sell a plastic version for a massive £1.61 + P&P.

It's a spare part though, so may still take a few days to arrive, but might help you out if you need something now rather than waiting for the 704R to come back in to stock.

I've come up with a cunning plan to machine down a 30mm guide bush to accept a 2 part guide bush, as a stop gap

I've found that the Leigh 704R has the adjustability that the Festool adapter lacks by being a very tight fit.  This allows you to use a centering mandrel properly which cannot be done with the Festool adapter.
