Hi,

Is it totally not working, or just slower than the suggested 2 seconds in the manual?

In my experience with an EBQ [Aust], biscuit [CMT 2mm] slot and other wider cutters take a bit longer for the router to effect braking due to increased centrifugal forces.

Also make sure the collet area is free of dust/debris..

And as Shane often says, you may need to contact Festool.

Hope this is of some use.   [smile]

Router is 110v it is taking longer than 2 seconds to stop.
It went back to festool about 3 weeks after i had it yhey replaced the armature

We'll then it would appear that what Alex and RL say regarding 110v models is applicable to your situation.

Yes, the 2200 has a brake -- you can see how fast it stops when powering off compared to other routers.  It takes just a few seconds.  Pretty cool and safe feature.
