OF1400 Ratcheting Spindle Lock - Only working in one direction

I can push down on the left side of it to tighten the bit and use, but cannot press down on the right side at all. Any ideas on how to free it up? I am working around it by using a different router or reverting to using a second wrench, but would like to get it fixed.

You might want to check that the trigger lock isn't accidentally pushed in.  I have been known to do that.

Enjoy your holiday.  I found that personally I have a bad tendency to grab the handle and accidentally hold the trigger while using the wrench.  Of course my tool is unplugged, but even accidentally holding the trigger can be the cause.

Hope that this solves your issue and that you don't need to send it in.
