I picked up an OF1400 router just a few days ago at my local Woodcraft.

I was just watching Peters' YT video about the OF1400 he received as a gift
a few years ago and I'm wondering why some of the items that he got with
his kit were not included in mine.

I didn't get the edge guide, is that included in the OF1400 EQ-F Plus, # 574692 ?

I received the following items:
•(1) 1/4" Collet
•(1) 8 mm Collet
•(1) 1/2" Collet
•(1) Collet Wrench
•(2) Guide Rods
•(1) Chip Catcher
•(1) Dust Extraction Hood
•(1) Standard US Guide Bushing Adapter
•(1) Plug-it Power Cord
•(1) T-Loc Systainer 4

Was the kit changed sometime in the past to not include the edge guide
or maybe Peters' gift was the router plus the edge guide.

The router scope of delivery has changed over the years and may actually differ by country if my memory serves me correctly.

Here ia a screen shot of the 2017 North US catalog:

Thanks for confirming. That's what I got and what is shown on the listing on Woodcraft's
site as well as the FestoolUSA site. Peters video from 2012 got me wondering though
when he mentioned that the edge guide was included.

Yep, thats all I got with my OF 1400 too. Would have been nice if they had included the edge guide though. That thing is expensive. Makes a MicroFence setup that much more enticing.

Certainly does. The problem with YouTube is that there aren't always disclaimers at the beginning of videos saying "check current scope of delivery" or "accessories shown may not be included outside of the UK" or similar. I was personally caught out by this too as I assumed my UK delivery of an OF 1400 in 2013 would include the 8mm collet that I had seen online, but it did not.

The best thing you can do is specifically check the listing from the company you are buying from, and if you're not sure, contact them directly for confirmation.
