Howdy,

Does anyone know of any third party circle jigs for an OF2200?

I want it for speaker building, so it'll need to do small ones (circles) say 6" out to 20"......I cant seem find anything.

Many thanks,
Peter

Why not make your own with a scrap piece of plywood, a nail for a pivot point and copy ring/guide bushing.

I've done both, but would like something more "commercial"

Sorry...don't got any commercial solution.

But why not make your own? I did and it took no time...well almost no time  [wink]
Look her! there's a couple of examples in that thread.

Kind regards
Henrik

Henrik, many thanks. I'd not thought of using that for the pivot point. Cheers.

Scarpia - thanks for the link, I like the look of this!

Hi Peter

This is not a commercial solution but may help. I often need to make curved and sometimes full circle cuts and made up an adjustable trammel from various odds and ends.

Take a look:

The Festool commercial solution is the MFS.

If you decide to go that route, please note that it requires a 30mm copy ring, which doesn't come with the accessory kit, oddly enough.

When I got my OF2200 it came with a 30mm copying ring. The OF1400 came with one as well.

My 1010, 1400 and 2200 didn't come with a 30mm  [sad]

Peter, I like that video that you posted on making a trammel

I just checked the Festool UK web site and both the OF1400 and OF2200 come with a 30mm copying ring. I can only guess that there is a large percentage of the purchases for these coming from kitchen fitters or guys using big templates.

I did find the 30mm copying ring useful but they are not cheap. At Axminster Power Tools you can get a complete set of guide bushes for £28 although you do have to buy an adapter to suit your router at £17.

Thank you for the comment about the trammel.

Peter
