On a more serious note, I was wondering if I should take some pictures of a comparison between the Festool Zobo-Forstners, Hawera Forstners and what else I have laying around, there has to be a Famag somewhere and some others if I remember correctly.
Would that be of any interest?
Kind regards,
Oliver

Pictures are good only for prom value, but tell less about the basic nature of the tools.
So more interesting to me would be a comparison between brands that included numerical metrics such as accuracy of the size of the holes, and the finish of the hole or the roughness. You could still have a qualitative column(s).

So I should stop taking pictures like this? I mean, just if one of you was ever wondering if you needed a CXS Set of course... lol. [eek] [scared] [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

So, what your saying is rather than see pictures of his tool, you would rather he just tell you about it. Hmmmmm, now I see how those 1-900 dating sites make so much money......
Holmz said:[member=19746]Untidy Shop[/member] I can see now why Oliver wants to use a drill press.
I suspect my drilling with the zobos (etc) have equal lack of normality of the drill with the workpiece. [size=12pt]Watching others drill it is always apparent that there is some leaning on direction or another. [size=8pt]
This would seriously impact the surface finish and the size in an unpredictable way.
