So I found this on the garage floor. And for the life of me I know I’ve seen it before but I cannot figure out which tool it belongs to so I figured I would post and maybe someone has an idea. Almost positive it’s to a Festool product. I have routers Domino Sanders all sorts of stuff. A long shot I know but I feel like it’s an important part

Can tell how big it is, but it looks like a retaining nut that would fit in a router edge guide or something similar.

Is there glue on it?

For the CS 50 / CMS there are those two black plastic pieces that you can insert on the side that hold a nut where you can attach the sliding table too. I've had that come loose too once.

It is not a Domino connector... [smile]...as Dane says it appears to be some sort of captive nut that came out of its enclosure.

Why don't you think it is the connector?  It looks exactly like that nut that sits at the end of what i believe is the corner connector.

Either way i'm finding this thread quite entertaining.  Can't wait for the OP to confirm the final conclusion to the mystery hahaha

[oops] You're correct... [big grin]...it is a captive nut from the Domino KD connector. Thanks for that. Does this look familiar?

Bingo! Wow are you guys good! That’s exactly what it is!! For some reason I really felt that it was part to another tool but I’ve been doing a lot of domino stuff and that’s exactly where it came from. Thanks guys.  It has been bugging me for a while thinking it was a super important part
