Old 2.2mm blade in new TSC55 KEB saw compatibility?

Hi
I own a the previous TSC55 with the 2.2mm blade. I was considering buying the new version with the anti kick back etc - TSC55 KEB. Well aware this uses 1.8mm blade and this size will not fit the old version as the riving knife is 2.2mm.

However I have loads of blades of different types and was wondering if they would fit the new saw as is doesn’t have a riving knife. But the arbour washer may be made to only take the thinner blade.

Just wondering if anyone has the new saw and tried the old 2.2 blade in it and any issues?

Thanks

I installed the thicker blade on the TSC KEB and everything seemed fine. The saw fired up without anything rubbing or making strange noises.

Old blades will fit on the new TSC, but not the TS. Just be aware that the stated faster cutting times are based on the thinner blades, other than the electronic kick back stop vs riving knife there's not much difference between the new and old models.

Thanks everyone.

I have put the order in and should get it this week.

Mines over 4 years old so will put up on ebay soon. Benefit from full warranty and new battery’s.

Not too bothered about speed of cut, but no riving knife would be a benefit as even the new design (from the old corded ts55)  I’ve had not dropping down in time when starting cut.

I’ve got at least 10 blades and wouldn’t want them going to waste, hence the question. Also the thin blades from my hk saw chip more easily and my sharpening man says they can’t be re-tipped and re-grinding only if not chipped excessively.

Yes the 2.2mm do not fit on the HK saws, due to riving knife width.

They do fit on the HKC however; the systainer lid cover listed the 2.2mm aluminium and laminate blades as optional accessories before they introduced those blades as 1.8mm width.
