I'm interested in making some rustic furniture in the style of the Old Hickory Furniture Company (www.oldhickory.com/).  There isn't a lot of information on building furniture in this style but I think I have most of it figured out.  One thing I'm still struggling with is that on the ends of the hickory limbs old hickory creates a perfectly shaped dome. The dome can be seen on a number of pictures of the furniture on the old hickory web site.

I was curious if anyone had any ideas on how I could reproduce this dome.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You could do it with a disc sander and manually do it. Or maybe you could modify a Forstner bit, a hole saw, or some other style bit to create the domed shape on the end of the piece. I would think you would need a couple different sizes through. Izzy Swan has a few videos (a couple hundred) on YT showing how he made some of his rustic furniture. If you haven't seen them you might want to check it out.

Thanks Bob.  I've been trying to figure out how to make a cutter and modifying a Forster bit is a great idea.  I'll also be sure to check out the videos

ThNks again
