I picked up older lr-32-sys and it seems that the base plate doesn’t have a connection for 1400 router. Is that correct or am I missing something?
The one I got is 489270 model

On the 1400 there are two screws that attach it plates to the base from underneath.

Yep but the lr-32 plate seems to be missing these holes [emoji3]

I ran into the same problem but I bought the plate on close out at a Woodcraft and the box did say “fits of1010 only.  So for a time period they only made it to fit the 1010.  You will need to do some drilling.[emoji2957]

I wasn't looking at mine to compare, and yours is missing the holes. Fortunately the screws go into the base of the 1400 so you only need to drill and don't need to tap them.

That’s a good point . Forgot about that. I’ll drill them out tomorrow

Can someone post a close up picture of the new LR 32 plate so i can take a look at the holes i need to drill?  are they chamfered? also what size are they?

The OF 1010 existed long before the 1400, so they didn't explicitly make it 'OF1010 only'.

Good luck making those holes at exactly the right spot .

Update, Got it done.  Got few recommendations over on FB.

Here is what I did in case anyone is interested:
removed 4 of the 5 t15 screws that hold the phenolic plate.
installed the centering mandarel that comes with the lr32 kit so that it sticks out above the lr32 plate
put 2 pieces of double sided tape
slowly lowered the lr32 plate on to the phenolic plate making sure centering manderal is dead center and matching the center line scribe on the roter to the horsehoe opening (not necessary it seems)
removed the final screw and flipped it right side up.  Marked and center punched 2 holes
took it to the drill press making sure drill bit is on the center punch hole. A bit of tap magic and 6.5mm drill bit.  Original holes are a bit wider (Letter G drill bit) but closest i had was 6.5mm.  It worked fine and plate has a bit of adjustment in it.  I might drill out with letter G bit if needed.
Deburred and cleaned off tap magic
Installed it on the router

Well done.
Thank you for coming back and letting us know how you resolved your problem. That will definitely help those who search for said solution in the future. Thank you.

Thanks very much for this useful information!!
I was able to purchase  a LR 32-SYS (No. 489270) for €275,- including the ruler.
However, I did notice the absence of the holes needed for the OF1400.
Thanks to this page I learned how to modify the base plate: just 2 holes  [big grin]
Looking forward to my next project!

Joost

Oh wow, a 20(+) year old rail. I think the /2 rails came out in 2004?
