Older lr-32 plate with of1400 router question

I’ve been tempted to do the same on my of 1010 ,
Drill and tap.
I don’t have the guts ,yet.

Do you really need to do that?? I would assume that it should fit in the same way as the OF900/1000

But, If drilling is necessary: it is not really a problem, the main thing is to drill in the proper places. I did basically the same as Festal described. Remember that the holes don't have to be tight, I made mine 7mm (the bolts are M6).

The Festool brand was introduced in 2000, my LR32 still has the Festo label.
From the previous owner I understood he once bought it for one of his employee, who actually used it only once. You can see that the drill was used, but you really had to look very carefully to see the marks  [big grin]

you don't need to drill anything for the 1010. buy these two parts and you will also not be needing the crappy mandrel that came with the lr32 kit

On your photo the rail clearly has the green Festool marking, not the blue Festo

You're right, but the systainer is a real Festo

When I dig them out of the shed one day, I'll have to post pics of the original grey metal cases with the blue Festo logo the tools used to come in!

Great idea, I never knew.
So just to be clear,
The copying ring stays on the router and fits into the hole of the LR-32 ?
Does the copying ring have to be trimmed down to clear the LR plate ??

486034 is used stock and does not interfere. it stays on and does the double duty of centering and holding the router in place.

i dont have the 1400 but now i wonder if there's a similar copy ring
