On what projects do you use your RAS115.04?

I use it for everything.

Some of the odd things I have used it for include:  Grinding down a cast iron pipe so the new toilet flange would sit right, sharpened lawn mower blades, restoring cast iron machinery, I sand wood up to 80g with it, I have done a bunch of other odd things with it too.

Because of the max speed, I am assuming that the Ras is not suitable for use with cut off wheels  to cut thru metal etc, i think I saw Alex write it is good for metal surface prep.

Is that correct?

I used to use a small Makita grinder with a Kutzall grinding wheel. It worked, fast! but it was a beoytch to control, with the grinder going 10k. It sure made dust! I would get close, then sand to the scribe line.

so then I got the RAS :D control!! I could use it to creep right up to my scribe line, no sanding. Time saver! I find you have to be careful though, as it's easy to work the motor too hard, ya gotta ease up on the pressure a bit.

I also wonder about the dust guard, sometimes when I move it around little bits of plastic come flying off? hmmm a small cause for concern. I move it "on the fly" so that might not be a recommended thing to do. I do like the dust collection feature though.
