One for the Aussies...

Following past experiences with the Festool Aust Website, particularly the search function, I tend to find it easier to use a retailers website - Just Tools or Sydney Tools for example.

Today I found myself again frustrated by the Festool Australia Website -
time for a change Mr Festool,
how many sales are you losing through this hopeless mess!?

Hi all, I was just browsing the Sydney Tools site to see if it would be worth going into the sale night, and noticed couple of Festool items on "Clearance", including the CTL SYS for $439 (https://sydneytools.com.au/product/festool-ctl-sys-1000w-4-5l-l-class-vacuum-dust-extractor-in-systainer-format), which raised my curiosity so I looked and cannot find this on the Festool site anymore. Other shops seem to have it still advertised for $549, so could be a chance to save yourself some money here if interest. Some other tools KS88) are there, and some are eligible for some promos too.

Hi. [member=26367]eddomak[/member]
Carbatec is also discounting some Festool tools at the moment. eg. BS75 Belt Sander in Box down from $A695 to $A590.75 and QF2200 Plus in Sys from $A1775 to $A1508.75.

And Just Tools are discounting some Storage Systainers.

Hey Untidy, that seems like a good deal for you guys finally. It's $800 in the States and with a 1.45:1 currency conversion you'd normally be in the $1100-$1200 range.  [smile]

Either that, or we should be in the $550 range.  [crying] [crying]

Yes you are right - on today's conversion rate you should be paying $US576.19. There is a building slump in most states down here, so FESTOOL Aust might be pricing for sales in a depressed market. Maybe!

Well that's not right... [dead horse] [dead horse]

At $550 I'd think about a cordless upgrade, however at $800 my corded Vecturo is perfect.  [big grin]
