Guys,
Is that accurate -Only 1 battery with the Carvex? Every other cordless tool I have from Festool came with 2?

Thanks,
Frank

Frank, that is correct. The regular versions come with one battery. The basic versions are sold without a battery or charger for those of you that own plenty already.

I find it annoying it only comes with one battery. Almost all of the big players offer 3 versions or more.
Body only. Body with 1 battery and charger etc and full kit with 2 batteries.

I'm guessing festool think that by the time someone gets around to buying a cordless carvex they will have other battery products from them to use the batteries from them. Well assuming they fit that is.

I think for the price a 2nd battery should be included, if not maybe the option to purchase a 2nd at half price at the same time.  [wink]

In Oz we're moving towards 18V and 15V flexi systems, where the components or set all mix in to about the same price, so you don't get disadvantaged buying a skin, then a charger ... batteries, then more batteries, etc.

To me the flex systems make much more sense - to date I'd probably have well over a dozen Festool chargers [sad] never going to be using them all at once!

I bought the Carvex with one battery 15v, and wish I'd gotten two as it doesn't last very long at all, so it's going to be first really and effective setup when I buy another tool that uses a compatible battery, I've been waffling on getting the 18 DRC drill with the to 4.2 Ah batteries, but other purchases keep getting in the way. Sometime soon I will have to make a decision, lately I've speculated on getting the C15 4.2 Ah set, and combining it with a TI impact, this way I'd have three 15v compatible tools...

I love the freedom of movement with the cordless jigsaw though, outside use and you can do away with the dust collection...or even better use a vacumn at the work table..

It now comes with the 18v 4.2 ah battery. Better life.

Many of the batteries are interchangeable between the tools.

I think I'll just buy an extra battery for my Carvex in the 18, 14,2 aH hour version found a dealer in the uk that has it at a fairly good price..
