I let my OF-1400 roll off the top of my vac. It broke the little plastic stem that sticks up to protect the depth stop. It is all attached to the motor cap that attaches with 4 screws. Any one know the part no. and cost for a replacement? :( :(

Thanks
Mark

I had that happen to me with my OF1010, in my case the rod for the depthstop was bent. (In my case the replacement part was cheap, found the number via e-kat); but I saw they prevented this from happening in the design of the OF1400.

An empty Systainer 1 attached to the top of you vac can prevent this from happening again.  Just be sure to open the lid before setting you router (or other tool) down.  [unsure]

This is what i use. Its a 9mm piece of MDF screwed to a systainer that i keep my dominos in. It works a treat.

I have some paint on the way, and im going to spray the systainer blue/black to match and put a better (larger) top on it.  :)

Check out Tanos, a sister company of Festool's that only deals in systainers and sortainers and inserts. They offer a systainer extenction that is basicly a bottomless and topless systainer. Don't know if they would dock directly onto a vac or not but you wouldn't have to deal with a lid.
