For the past year I have been very fortunate to sell the Festool line out of my home shop and want to thank Festool for giving me the opprutunity to do so. I have really enjoyed it.

My wife and I talked about it awhile ago and decided it would be best to open a retail store. We spent months doing research on where the best location would be and eventually found the perfect place.

Today I got the keys and have the permits in place to make some modifications to the space and hope to focus on Festool along with another premium brand of tools  ;)

The store will also have the Walko workbenches, Grex pinners.

Pretty exciting times.

The company I have been working for has known for some time and I am in the process of training a replacement. They are very happy for me as they know I am passionate about tools. Now that I am only going to be focusing on selling tools I hope to find more time throughout the day to spend on the forums once again and hope to participate to a greater extent.

That is sooo cool!
I'm speechless and will make sure to stop by next time I'm in Raincouver :-)

Where about is your shop located? Any date in mind for the grand opening?

Thats great Dan?  How much space is there in the store?

The addition of General and General International to your product line is a surprise, but it rounds out the types of tools available in the store and I think that it should work well for you.

Best of fortune to you and the next step you are taking. I am xcited about the lines of tools you are carrying.  The Walko has a Ton of potential.  I also recomend some of the Fast cap line.  the 2p10 line of glues are awesome (xcept for the Gel :-\ ).

1600 square feet on the main floor with 800 square feet upstairs for storage and office.

Cool!  I go up to Burnaby two or three times a year.  I always drop in at Lee Valley, now I'll have another great place to visit.

Bloody hell.... that will take me hours to get there from the ferries. Couldn't you find anything closer ;D?  Just kidding! I'm very happy for you.

Congratulations Dan. Things must be going good and it sounds like you have a good "game plan" in place.  I always knew you were the ideal Festool representative.

I wish you the best of luck. It couldn't happen to a better person.

Thanks Steve

Forgot to mention I am a QWAS dealer as well and just put an order in for more Qwas Dogs and Rail Dogs today.

Andreas,

I am close to the ferry. Just drive north 1.5 hours north of Victoria and grab the ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay (only a 2 hour ride) and then drive 30 minutes down the freeway to the First Ave exit. I am on second a block and a half off the freeway.

It will only take you 4 hours plus your one hour wait in the ferry lineup.

I couldn't have made it any easier for you.  ;)

All the best Dan, and looking forward to seeing the full layout.
Maybe there is some stuff I need!! :D

Hey Dan, that should work well.  But, I will always remember you working out of a very crowded booth of about 250 square feet.

Dan,

A others have said, best of luck and congratulations on this new endeavor.

Bob

As others have, I also congratulate you as well.  :)

Say, does your new space have room for equipment to not only demo the Festool line but have classes or local "Dog & Pony Shows"?
