Well I finally got the Kapex,
It's first job was 60m2 of bamboo flooring, first impressions its a lovely saw! The dc (i only have the 27mm hose) was good made clean up at the end of the day easier. Gotta invest in the 36mm hose now I guess :)

What are people's thoughts on the ug stand I am in two minds at the moment.

I have the ug stand and think its very good. East to transport out of your van and only takes a few minutes to set up. Im guessing thats a van in the picture  [big grin]  If it was set up in a workshop and never moved i cant see the point in getting one.

Congrats! You will enjoy it, I saw and tried the Ug stand at a Lumber supply it seems ok (to me anyways,) for small moldings because they are too narrow, but I do a lot of MDF moldings that don't stay straight, but I did purchased the cart and made my own wings with Kreg's guides and crown stops, I love the cart, easy to roll the saw everywhere, but I wished they made the wings wider but if you do just flooring it should be perfect.

I am not a professional but used the Kapex to install about 1600 sqft of flooring over a few months and the UG cart worked very well to move the Kapex from my garage to the second floor multiple times. I now use the Kapex mounted on the ug cart in my garage workshop and it works quite well.

Yes I am van based, so easy to transport and compact is something I want. I has sys'ed my van but have space for the ug cart, the kapex doesn't live in the van overnight, I have been broken in to before and now and very fearful of a repeat attack.

Looks like the wife is getting some more shoes and I am getting the ug stand and a d36 hose. Does anyone in the uk sell 1.8m d36 hoses?

Regards
Leigh

I use mine at home but have the UG stand as I'm limited when it comes to space ... setup and put away times are good.

I't not as solid as a dedicated bench, but it does stay square.
