For what it's worth I had a similar experience with chucks on my newer TPC 18/4. When I first needed to use the 90 degree and slip it into an extra long drill bit for boring some holes through studs straight, I locked the drill chuck to the extra long auger bit, and the 90 to the drill. Tried to get the 90 attachment to seat with the drill chuck and took an excessive amount of fiddling due to tight machine tolerances. Got the job done but took the drill to a festool roadshow later that year where they were going around releasing the new table saw and the rep agreed it was incredibly tight and suggested I send it in for warranty. Fast forward from being busy and I realize I'm a couple months from the 3 year warranty ending and I contact Festool to get it handled. I go to my garage to make sure I'm saying the issue is with the right attachments and for whatever reason, I spend 30+ minutes trying to replicate the issue from a year or two ago and can't. The only thing I can assume is that I've used the drill a little bit more (I use my older T18+3 for 90%+ of my stuff now, and just the little bit extra use of the chuck going on and off just the drill alone, loosened whatever the tolerance was up enough that I couldn't justify sending in something I couldn't find an issue with. I only spent 30 or more minutes trying to find the problem because I knew how much it originally annoyed me and then when I couldn't find the problem, it had me wondering what the problem even was, haha.
Only other things I've had are the plug it cords- new ones take some effort to install, compared to the one I used on and off ALL the time between my RO50 and my ETS EC 150/3 because I would keep things connected and just be swapping the tool frequently. Went to use a new cord one day and was shocked at it's stiffness. I just accept it all now as others have said that it's due to them being able to successfully make better tools with better tolerances.
