Pad lockout RO125

I have a RO125 that is about 3 month old.  I have never had a need to remove the pad but today I was showing it off to a friend and started to demonstrate how to remove the pad but the lock down does not lock.  It will push in but does not lock the pad for removal.  Is this a bad tool or am I doing something wrong?

Have you tried rotating the pad while holding down.  There should be a detent and then it will lock.

You need to have the machine in Rotex or rotary mode for the pad locking button to work. If the machine is in random orbit mode, the pad will just freewheel and won't lock when you press the button.

As forrest said.  The first time I used mine I thought it was broken too, then check online.
