Painted stairs from hell

Na the lady wants to paint the a light duck egg colour and stain the treads to blend in the middle bit

I'm in the middle of tidying up my house to sell and one of the jobs is to repaint some bathroom cupboards. I painted them in a special two coat paint that's supposed to look like stainless steel. Anyway I thought I'd try out my new rotex 150 on them. WOW in rotex mode the paint came right off and before I knew it I was back to a clean peice of moisture resistant mdf. I only planned to key them up for new paint but when I saw how easy the rotex strips paint I got a bit carried away lol.

Just need a way to do the frame now and all the beading, anyone got any tips ? Will the vlies be any good for going over mouldings . I can use my multimaster for small areas I suppose

That's a tricky one I sure if the duplux sander would in any good. The multi master does have rubber moulds for sanding moulding

Nippy. I know its too late now but this is the stuff to use next time. Make sure you get the right one, either for lead or normal paint. Very easy and much less sanding.

That's a great product I watched a YouTube video on that product he was stripping cornice and thought it was an American product. I'll be getting that product the might be more to do around the house. Thanks for the like

When I say mouldings they're not really intricate ones . I made all the bathroom units years ago and all the doors are just 18mm mdf with push catches (no handles) . I then edged all the openings with parting bead, I also routed parting bead into the bath panel to form two panels. One of these is just a panel and the other is removable on magnets for access.

So the mouldings are just a little half round really.

I sanded it all up and primer/undercoated it this afternoon. A breeze with a combination of multimaster and rotex 150.

Twice my midi shut down again today while sanding , I wonder if it's the narrow extraction fitting for the multimaster over heating it. All three times it's cut out when using the multimaster.

I think it's the combination of the fine saw dust clogging the bag making the motor struggle

Yeah and the extraction fitting on the Fein is like a squashed pipe.

Tried turning the volume down to reduce the amount of suction it's trying to manage through that tiny hole?
