Nearly finished this now, and I will update when fitted. This is as far as I had got by last night. Sheet stock was broken down with a ts55 and the face frame was made and fitted with the dom.

Looks like some very nice Ash to me [scratch chin],

Mark that is a nice piece, not the first bit of furniture you have made I would wager!!!

Got anymore photo's???

Thanks guys, your wager would be safe I've been doing this for 26yrs.

I tend to make more traditional pieces now for my own clients, but my taste is definitely contemporary.  Here's some recent work......

That's about 8 months work. Oh and the timber for the wardrobe is Poplar, but the drawer boxes will be dovetailed ash.

Mark

Really nice work.  Curious how you made the curved wall below the outdoor hottub stairs.  Any more details?

Thanks for sharing.

The whole work in progress is here, I hope it's OK to post to other threads on other forums mods? if not just delete it and I will do a separate thread.

Beautiful work, Mark!!

Do I see a rack full of E. A. Berg chisels hanging on the wall?

Thank you.
I'm sorry, but I've never heard of the chisels you mentioned, are they American? Mine are the Ashley Iles cabinet makers chisels, similar to your own L/Ns.

The shape of the handles on your chisels is similar to the Swedish-made E. A. Berg chisels my dad got when he was in England flying the Berlin Airlift.  I inherited them after he died.  They are cherished . . . .

Mark, really nice w.i.p on the decking.  Any pictures of it after staining & at night with the lights on.
Love the fireplace surround also  [thumbs up]

Woodguy.

I'm afraid not, they stained it a horrible chocolate brown colour, it looks better in the white. I went round with a professional photographer, and asked him not to bother taking any pic's as it looked terrible, he made a bit of a show for 15mins, and I paid him :'(. I never got time to go round in the evening so no night shots either.

Mark   What a fantastic project. It is apparent to me your 26 years of experience have created a Craftsman of high quality.
The work in progress was fantastic and  to see and how you accomplished the curved end piece's is awesome. I was thinking steam box but your method for the wood worked great .

The first piece shown  has given me some ideas for door panels in a ten foot wall unit I am gong to start for a customer next month

Thank You

Sal

Mark:
Really nice work. I particularly like the blue cabinet. I like how it looks like it is sort of emerging from the wall?
The chest reminds me of one Tommy MacDonald made.
Really nice.
Tim

OK.  I have to ask.  The blue cabinet.  Is it an optical illusion with  the side of the cabinet achieved with paint, or is the wall that strange.  I love it no matter what - just curious.

You have remarkable skills.  Well done all around sir!

You have given me some ideas.

Peter

i would presume that there is an old chimney brest there in a an old house .

Cheers guys, heres a few before shots of the blue wardrobes site....

So not that straight forward.

There was a limit as to how far I could come out at the front, which is why the left hand robe looked odd at the bottom, and I couldn't just go over the whole thing with panels.

But I painted the wall to match.

This is how the case work looks behind.

Thanks for the interest.

Drawers......

Six to do, so I made a jig for my router, this just enables me to hog out the waste but still pare to the knife lines with my chisels.

Helps me dovetail quicker(more details on my blog if your interested)
