Painting Prefinished plywood

Hey guys,

I have a job coming up where I will be using two sided Prefinished plywood for cabinet carcasses.  One sided material is not available since these cabinets will be RTA components.  Hopefully, the company I am getting the material from will be able to run the finished ends through a wide belt sander. But if they aren't able to, will conversion varnish stick to it?

it wont stick if you spray right on it, but if you scuff sand it with 220G, being sure you dont miss any areas, it should stick fine
