There's a television course in UK swearing over here--it's any show with Gordon Ramsey in it.

Watching him is a great excuse for a drinking game. Take a swig every time the bleep comes on. You'll be Brahms by the end of the episode.

Hi,

I will have to keep an eye out  for the screw on  nozzles.    That wire nut idea sound s pretty good too.

DD, sorry if I am taking your van thread too far off.

seth im not precious about my posts

the conversations go where they go, as far as im concerned, its one reason why i post mainly in "gerneral chat and random ideas"

i just swap out the nozels, you can buy them separatly but if you reuse a nozel from the empty tube, you are left with a spare. there are only two sizes of nozel so having spares isnt a problem

removing "bollocks" from the term "the dogs" avoids offending the more sensitive types and those who make it their business to be "offended" so they can spout their views

but my topic "the dogs" also shows that you have to know the full phrase to understand it

and in my case that, because you didnt know, the meaning was lost

nor is ned wrong

at one time "the dogs" would have been a curse........ but is outdated and even then it was a euphomism for something worse ( ie calling somebodys parentage into question )

that word has also largly lost its meaning, its no longer (particularly) abusive

I enjoy watching his visiting chef program. As an ex-video producer, I grimace with all the beeping, not for the language but the thought of editing the piece and the amount of time laying in the beeps. That can get tiring real fast and I dont know any other way than to stop for each and every "f___" moment and mark start and stop points and then add the beep.

the beeps are a pain

done only because the legal people are afraid of law suits from the christian right and politically correct morons (backed up by judges of similar dispositions)

nor am i advocating a free for all

for those who are old enaugh to remember (including me)

some of the dereck and clive sketches couldnt be screened these days

Hi,

Yeah , I like the Kitchen Nightmares show too.  One of the things that doesn't show right away until you've seen a couple episodes  is that he really is out to help these restuarants get back on track and do well.
