Parallel guide/systainer question

I just recieved my TS 75 EQ, and I purchased a parallel guide (492-243) along with it. Has anyone figured out a clever way to fit the parallel guide into the systainer along with the saw??

I don't have a TS75, but in the systainer for the ts55, there's a place for it in the inlay. The edge guide fits perfectly with the bars sticking up, and you can take the saw in and out of the systainer without having to move it.

Thats what I would have expected with the TS 75! The parallel bar is longer than the systainer is wide.

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear in my description. The bars are sticking upward, toward the lid. The space in the inlay is rectangular shaped.

I have the same issue as "Jonathans". The Parallel Guide for the TS 75 does not fit inside the SYS 5 Systainer for the saw. The length of the Parallel Guide is the same as the outside length of the SYS 5 Systainer. There does not appear any way to store the Parallel Guide in the SYS 5 Systainer with the TS 75. This appears to be a "oops, we forgot about that" by Festools.

The TS 55 Systainer holds blades and the Parallel guide; whereas, the TS 75 Systainer appears to hold neither.

If anyone has figured this out, please post the solution with photos.

On the talkfestool forum there were a few threads on how accessories fit into tool systainers, but there isn't one for the ts75 (yet). For instance: ts55 thread

I don't own a TS75, but I'm curious how it sits in it's systainer.
I bought a protool circular saw last month, it has a baseplate that's longer than a systainer, but the inlay for it is sloped so it does fit inside, it uses the same type parallel guide, and there's room for it in the inlay.
So I think festool would have reserved a space in the ts75 systainer aswell.

It fits.  Not pretty, but it does fit.  After the saw is packed, you can place the parralel guide diagonally on top.  There's only one way that it works, and you have to take it out every time you use the saw.  I will try and get a photo next time I am using the saw.

I managed to get Parallel Guide for the TS 75 in the SYS 5 at an angle on top of the saw, much like what you said, but when I close the lid, the Styrofoam spacer in the lid hits the Parallel Guide so that you can't close the lid. Clearly, the Parallel Guide for the TS 75 was not designed to fit in the same manner as for the TS 55.

What are you doing for blade storage in SYS 5 for the TS 75?

When I bought my TS75 it came with a free blade, it has been in the same systainer as the saw since before I left the store. slipped it right down the front face of the systainer cardboard wrapper & all

You can also fit one down the back as well, I've always got 2 in my systainer with the saw. [smile]

There is a spot for it with the rail part going vertical.  When open the systainer just inside the front edge there is a detent and that is where it slides in.  The guide fits in the opposite way that the ts 55 does it is vertical instead of horizontal.
