parallel guides and clamps

just bought parallel guides can not clamp rail at same time am i missing something

I'm not sure why you'd want to clamp the rail when you're using the guides.  [huh]

how do you stop rail from moving on melamine then. the parallel guides don't clamp to material

clamps on first ? then the guides

but then you cant remove material that easy. have to loosen guides. not designed the best

no just the clamps,no need to loosen guides once set, they could be better thats a fact..

I think I might have figured it out my self if take t nut off of guide I can slide clamp in. Thanks for the help

My idea didn't work. Tried clamps inside of guides but to cumbersome to hard to move material in and out

As stated, the clamps will need to go on the inside of the parallel guides. You can see it in this video:

Use a Gecko clamp or the Rapid Clamp.

Tom may have both or either in stock. Holy sniglets, if you go to the second link, Tom has a video link on how to use the Rapid Clamp, I learned something new today (that he has the links up, not how to use the clamp).

I recently got some Gecko's to lift some heavy windows 150 lbs + and they worked perfectly.
