Hello

I was using my HKC 55 to rip some 48mm stock to make some stakes doing it freehand, it worked out but not very accurate, For quick ripping jobs in the future I'm considering the parallel side fence. https://www.festool.co.uk/Products/...-55-cordless-portable-circular-saws-PA-HKC-55

Anyone use it?  Any opinions? It's specific to the HKC.

I'm rounding out  my setup for the saw. I really like using it, its so light and compact, I will be getting an extra standard blade and the fine cut blade, the dustbag..

I am surprised at how quiet the saw is, and the finish on crosscuts with the fine blade is excellent.

I have the version for the ts55, and I like that one. I don't use it often, but I like the way it stores in the systainer, so it's out of the way (I only need to move it when I need a spare blade).
(I also had one for my protool csp 68, liked that one too)

On the ts55, it only works well from the right side of the blade, used from the other side, the saw tends to wander (I think it's caused by the slight toe in of the sawblade)

Thanks Frank Jan, it's an interesting theory about the toe in effecting the accuracy of the cut, I think believable too. It's true there is plenty of room in the systainer for extra blades and guides..I'm noticing the price of the guide isn't exactly cheep but for rough framing dimensioning af few pieces it would be great.. hmmm

Hi there,

I could be wrong but I thought that the parallel guide for the HKC55 is compatible with the TS55. Is this correct?

Doesn't seem to be compatible in it's description. Which seems reasonable as the TS55 has quite a different construction.
