Has anyone here got the depth chuck accessory for the pdc ? I'm thinking of getting one for plasterboarding (drywalling for you tanks) lol.

Are they any good ?

I don't have the one for the PDC, but I do have the one for my T15 and it was OK for a few boards, but if I was going to use something regularly, I think I'd look to invest in a bare/basic DWC instead - they are awesome tools and a real time saver.

I've got a 110v Makita drywall gun and don't use that much. I done seem to do as much plasterboarding as I used to.

Just thought this looked a handy accessory for my pdc.

There are two types:
- DD-DC only for C/T series drills
- DC UNI FF for all drills C/T/PDC/DRC and also CXS/TXS!

I have the DC UNI FF and it works for that occasional dry wall screws.
I also have the DWC 18 and that's much better, you can use it one handed and that's so comfortable.

Used mine to put up 50 sheets of plaster board not long back. It works ok and is certainly preferred to just the normal drill. But it is a bit fiddly.

It's great for someone like me who only does this once in a blue moon, but not ideal if you do a lot of plaster boarding.

Save yourself some money and use these (or something like it) for plasterboard. Been using them for years.

I used them years ago when they first came out, theyre ok but the proper depth stops stop spinning when theres no pressure on them.

I only thought of getting one of these while the ebay 20% off was on but as thats gone wrong  >:( I doubt I will bother now.

DWC for certain if you're doing a serious amount of this (or other drywall specific tool).

Do those chucks work on real wood and plywood or are they only for drywall?

I have the "DD-DC only for C/T series drills" - whilst it 'works', I don't think it is worth bother for wood.  I find it much more accurate using the variable torque control and feathering the trigger to obtain a precise depth of screw fastening with my T15 drill.  I know this is not the PDC attachment, yet if it operates in a similar manner, this is likely to similarly apply.

Plasterboard may be another matter as the screw hole will likely be taped / have a skim of plaster anyhow.  For wood it just was not accurate / consistent enough, possibly due to the variances in the wood itself.  The human touch with the precise trigger control and appropriate torque limit set as a backstop was much better.
