PDC + naked jigsaw combo? 4.2Ah jigsaw coming?

Hi

I'm looking to replace my 14.4V Dewalt XRP drill and cordless circular saw with the PDC Set and the 420 D-handle jigsaw cordless.
Looks like a great combination but my first query is does anyone know of a combo Festool do - I can't find one? I only need 2 batteries really.

Also the PDC comes with 4.2 batteries but the Carvex comes with only 2.6Ah. Is the carvex being upgraded to a 4.2Ah anytime soon (in the UK).

I have the CXS and I think the PDC with this will handle pretty much anything!

They don't do a combination of both these machines together, and as the serial numbers of batteries match machines so sets cannot be split.

The jigsaw is 3.0 amp batteries and the PDC 4.2 amp.
Festool are keeping it this way for at least the immediate future to use up the 3.0 amp battery stock.

The Carvex is still delivered with the 3 Ah battery here in Holland and Germany.
But if a machine benefits from more Voltage & Amperage it's a Jig Saw.
Please Festool change this ASAP.

The rumour goes that this year there will also be a battery powered TS 55.
It uses 2 batteries of 18V. But also works on 1 piece or 14,4-12V batteries.

I got the PDC with the 2x 4.2Ah batteries.

And I've got the 18v jigsaw with the 1x 3.0Ah.

Believe me, you're better off with both full sets. That way, you have the newer, smaller charger to take on site and the old charger for mounting on the wall at home (or sell one if you don't need both).

You'll also need all three batteries. Imagine if you're on a job using the driver all day. Then you need the jigsaw to cut up and scribe lots of panels. After a number of cuts (quite a few), the jigsaw battery runs out; you put it on charge & take your other battery out of the drill, put it in the jigsaw, and then discover that battery only has 20% charge 'cos you've been drilling all day!

Admittedly, that won't happen every day. But it will at some point. And when it does, you'll regret not having a 3rd battery.

If you're adamant that you only need one charger & 2 batteries, buy both sets & sell the additional charger & battery on eBay. You'll be surprised at how much money you get back... [eek]

But trust me, if you do, then one day you will regret selling the extra battery.  [huh] [embarassed]

I have until the end of Feb for the £50 voucher so may hold off a bit longer. I would like the 4.2Ah batteries really and am very intrigued by the rumour of a cordless circular saw!

I notice on Festool USA - they refer to the Basic jigsaw without battery / charger and also a 4.2Ah variety? I can't see this listed anywhere? Anyone have further info on this.

I've after the PDC 18V set and a jigsaw - ideally d-handle - just after the best price for the combo in the UK if any dealers reading!
