Howdy,
Had this old caulking gun laying around and thought "Why not...".
So, I put it in the mill to flatten one side and made a 20mm pin. Has about a 8 to 9 inch range and is extremely powerful.
It is made from a Workforce Heavy Duty caulking gun from Home Depot (model HD138C)
First one I made was from an extremely well used one from about 2005 and the second was a brand new one. Not a great deal of difference between the old and the the new one.
One needs to be sensative to keeping everything lined up and square when fitting locating pin and drilling the wood block for the claming bar.
As an added bonus, if you save all the pieces from the caulking gun, it will still function as a caulking gun!
Thought folks here might get a kick out of it.
