I made this little bench to go with my little workshop. Nothing fancy, just a few board foot of birch and a handful of 4mm dominos. The finish is 2 coats Danish oil. I'm considering putting on a beeswax at a top coat. Do you think that's overkill? I'm happy with the finish color/texture at this point and the only reason for the extra coat would be as a sealer/protector.

Your work is certainly worth a little extra protection. I'd probably consider some feet too, if you're potentially putting it anyway that could expose the grain down there.

(metal or rubber or something)

There's nice colour in that finish  [big grin]  glad you beat off the urge to paint it green  [wink]

Kev, thanks for the suggestion on the feet. Right now I have a felt pad on the bottom because I was undecided on using it in the shop or indoors. Indoors, I have hardwood floor so the felt would make it scratch resistant, but now that I decide it will stay in the garage I may want to consider changing it to a hard rubber.

LOL, yeah the thought did cross my mind about the green paint.  [laughing]
