I picked up around 35 BF of this great figured Shedua. I don't know what project I'll build with it yet but it sure looks cool. Whattya think?

Bill,
What are you paying a board ft?
Nice stuff, looks allot like 1/4 cut Mozambique!

I just wanted to add, this is a clear example where you would let the "Timber speak for its self"
Right Rob :P

You Know,

I really want to go to Deepest Darkest Africa.

On Safari.

With nothing but a chainsaw.

I'm up for suggestions on projects for this wood. I just couldn't pass it up. I think I got a good deal.

I think it was around 8 bucks a BF. Pretty cheap for such nice figure I think.

Anyone have a recomendation for a project with this stuff? Keep in mind I have a very small shop. ;D

Why don't you combine your interests and do some car panels or boomboxes out of it. ;D

Oh, Shedua, I long to hear you.
Away, you rolling river!
Oh, Shedua, I long to hear you,
Away, I'm bound away,
'Cross the wide Missouri.

The white man loved an Indian maiden,
Away, you rolling river!
With notions his canoe was laden,
Away, I'm bound away,
'Cross the wide Missouri.

Oh, Shedua, I love your daughter,
Away, you rolling river!
For her I've crossed the stormy water,
Away, I'm bound away,
'Cross the wide Missouri.

Farewell, my dear, I'm bound to leave you.
Away, you rolling river!
Oh, Shedua, I'll not deceive you,
Away, I"m bound away!
'Cross the wide Missouri.

I actually have done many plexi woofer boxes with a variety of exotic woods. I'll post pics when I find them. :)

it might be sweet to do a Bentley job with it.

My BILs father just built 4 guitars after taking a class on it. He did the most amazing job. They are easily 4k guitars and sound better than any acoustic I've ever heard. Unfortunately this wood is only 4/4 so it's not thick enough to build a bass guitar. Someday I do plan on building a violin for my daughter though. I still have a lot of learning to do before I attempt it. :)
