I just finished building a plane till to hold my growing hand plane collection. I built it out of baltic birch plywood and some 1/4" strips. I based the design on Wood By Wright's Plane Till: with some changes.

It's got a good amount of room for expansion. I'm planning on getting a #7 Woodriver Jointer, a low angle plane, and a scrub plane.  Not sure if I'm missing any other "must have" planes.

The hardest part was getting the 1/4" strips (slightly thicker than 1/4") to fit into the 1/4" dadoes.  I ended up using my favorite double sided carpet tape to stick all the 1/4" strips down together so I could sand 1 face with my ETS 150/3 and then flip over to sand the opposing face.  It took several attempts before they were narrow enough to fit into the dado.
