So I found this at princess auto. Pretty blatant rip off

Funny. Thanks for sharing. But actually, it is hard to even call it a copy. It resembles Planex just as much as the tool collection on display in Harbor Freight Tools store resembles contents of the Festool catalog. There are some similarities in shape and purpose, but not much in common beyond that. There are quite a few offers of drywall sanders in this price range. For example, there is an Aleko electric drywall sander offered through multiple sites (including Amazon). Depending on individual's experience with such tools and his/her reference point for comparison, reviews show a range from "great tool" to "waste of money" and "worse than useless".
 
    Sure drywall sanders existed before Planex, but I think Saskataper  is noting the uncanny resemblance in design and styling details.

Yeah the head is almost identical aside from the color, right down to the ribbing on the yoke. They even copied the grips and controls.
The porter cable is very different being cable driven from a motor in the handle and it's a fixed length
