Not my idea but an improvement of others ideas. Instead of having to run a wire down the extensions I bought some USB powered LED tape lights from Amazon and powered them from my Bosch 12v adapter they use in their heated jackets. Milwaukee has one too.

This is a great idea. Do you have a picture of the LEDs not turned on?

Cool implementation!
I suggested this years ago on the forum but for normal sanders, it would help see swirl marks. Right now I pass over with the syslite to see if the sanding was done well. I just can't understand why Festool or any others haven't done this yet.

I do not. I can take one tomorrow and post it up.
 
I did this in 2 pieces so the brushes can still be removed for getting into the corners.
I use Milwuakee m12 batterypack and a Y splitter.

It basically eliminates the need for lighting while sanding out.
