Plug it cord connectors

I have a friend who is currently in the UK on business. I'd like to ask him to bring me a few connectors back so that I can repair a couple of cords. If I'm not mistaken, the part number is 489685. Can anybody confirm this.

my new to me domino has a 16AWG cord, but still has a bump in the connector. how come? i thought gauge was the only reason why the connectors are different.
thanks.

Can you double-check the gauge? It used to be 18 gauge.

I always thought the Festool power cords were on the light side for 110V.
If yours is 16 gauge maybe they're rolling out a stealth upgrade?

And that photo is something that still bugs me about Festool's catalog.

The description is of the 18 gauge cord for lower wattage tools like the Domino but the picture
is of the 16 gauge cord for bigger routers etc.

I wish they'd use photos of the actual product instead of a generic photo for everything in a category.
Before Festool USA dumped most of the router bits from the catalog you'd see the same photo next to a dozen
different bits. Since the specs for the bits were in mm it was already hard enough to distinguish one bit from another
and then to use the same photo for all the bits in the category surely didn't help sales.

Sorry, Michael.  I was trying to get the explanation more than the image.

You didn't juxtapose that image with the text did you Peter? I assume Festool did because it's typical of their descriptive grphics.
So much of the Festool experience is excellent it's puzzling that they persist in that kind of conceptual laziness.

yes, i double checked. it is the 16 gauge cord, but it has the protrusion which means it cannot be used as a universal cord.
i wonder why.
