Plug-it on Kapex?

Has Festool said publicly why they opted not to include plug-it? My guess, since it's not a tool that includes a systainer to keep it in?

Another reason could be the amperage rating of the Kapex motor (at least in USA running on ~115V AC).

This response is pure speculation

The tools with Plug it Cords are the "hand tools" such as the sanders, jigsaws, Circular saw and Domino. The larger tools like the dust extractors and KAPEX are not portable and therefore have no need for the plug it cord.

The exception to the rule is the OF2200 routah which is 2200 Watts and the plug it cord is not designed for that kind of current draw

I think you're on to something, Dan. The heavy current Plug-it Cord is only 16 AWG.

I have an exception and it's the Deltex, Detail Sander. A great little sander, no Plug-it cord...

The Deltex came into existence before the Plug it Cord.

After I got the Kapex this was another Dam...  Wish this had a plug it.  I howpe it was not a cost thing that made them not put it on.

My issue is I have a pulg it cord attached to my vac.  so it is easy to hook the vac and cord up.  Now I have to go to the vac unplug one cord run the kapex cord and plug it in.  Minor thing but after doing it all day I wish they had a plug it end like on the saws.

Easy solution, plug a 3 way pigtail into the vac and plug in all your tools. make sure not to run two tools at once.

I even plug in my corded drill for use with the Kreg jig (old style aluminum) and put the vac hose at the dust port.

Yup can do that but I still wind up with a mess of tangled wires by the end of the day.  One hose with one wire attached to it was so nice.
