Plug-it pigtail NAINA - would you like one?

Look forward to hearing how it works out, Nickao.  I have an 850 planer that needs a replacement cord (I ran over it with the planer).  Maybe I'll be able to replace the cord and get some of the benefits of Plug-it.

I am going to order tomorrow in case a straggler may want one also. For about 4.00 I can send one just about anywhere in the US.

It is expensive for what you get, but for some it may well be worth it. I can always bury things as supply costs in a job others can't, but still, all Festools are expensive.  The cord is so darn long on my RS2 that it makes me nuts. Its great for some in the field, but I need it only on an mft with a boom arm so the long cord is always in the way. Everything else is perfectly tidy regarding cords, even my DeWalt routers us a quick connect I have attached in addition to the Festool cords on my boom arms.

I am looking forward to completely eliminating the hassle of extra cord lengths that get in my way and maybe changing over another brand  tool too.

If you need a buyer for the 2nd pigtail, I'll take it.  Just let me know.

I ended up getting a pig-tail from Wood Junkie...now my RS2e works a lot better with the boom arm...

I sure wish festool would sell this in the USA. It took me all of 5 minutes to swap it out, and it works great!

I can understand Festool USA not wanting to sell them but why not just add them at the factory instead of redesigning the tool??  I suppose it would have to go through UL testing again..... [sad]

Thanks Wood_Junkie,

Received and installed mine today  [tongue] The green adaptors have a very tough poly urethane type insulation that is hard to remove.

The black wipes you found have a heavy rubber that can be remove to allow more exposed wire depending on the tool requirements.

I like those black whips, they are heaver gauge anyway.

Check out Wood_Junkie's closed post in the Classifieds.  [big grin]
