is it possible to polish acrylic (plastic) baths with the rotex and what procedure would as there are that many polishing accessories

i think those baths are a thin layer of plastic and thickened up with fiberglass. it should be posible but i would be carfull . i would reseach sanding corian or solid surface , that would be farly close to the acrylic.
i think i would get some material similar or a bath similar and give it a go on that first

You can buy repair kits for holes and scratches for acrylic baths so im pretty sure to finish the repair off you would need to polish it to get it to match as best as possible.

So dont see why not.

If the bath has lost its lustre and you want to get it shiny again use brasso, yes brasso , either the wadding or the cream and polish by hand , works a treat , if there are scratches use wet and dry paper ( wet ) at least 400 grade then 800 grade then polish with brasso but , importantly, do it all by hand as the acylic is only thin and you need to be careful.i have done a few  baths like this over many years ( 1 was a £5,000 jacuzz ! bath) and all the customers were v happy . hope this helps.

p.s. if it doesnt work you need a new bath
