Despite the name POO 111 the C.M.S GE (set version) is an outstanding router table especially with the OF-2200 router installed - dust extraction is much better than with the OF-1400 and with the 3 horsepower of the 2200 there's stacks of power. It's really easy changing cutters as the collet can rise above the table with the 2200. It doesn't with the 1400. What really surprises me and I'm frequently reading posts about this is that this setup isn't allowed in America - yet I think the OF-2200 is THE PERFECT router for the C.M.S. router module. The Kapex UG extensions make superb infeed/outfeed support tables and are much better than the outfeed extension table that comes with the set. The C.M.S. with the UG extensions fastened each side is very stable and I have no problem running 8' x 18" boards over the table by myself. For portability with precision, stacks of power and the best dust extraction of any Festool router this setup excels. It's so easy to tune in the exact height of the cutter and the router table fence is a marvel of engineering, the sliding table with angle guide fence that comes with the set version is sublime and so much smoother than a mitre slot guide.

I've had a few (what I thought were very good at the time) router tables over the years, but this is way better in every way than anything I've ever owned, tried, seen or even ever heard of. It can also be very quickly transformed in to a very good tablesaw with the TS-55R or TS-75. With this lot, an MFT/3 again with UG extensions and the parallel guides there's really not a lot you can't do with an 8x4 sheet...

You can even turn it 90 degrees and get a standard 4x8 sheet!

[poke] [big grin]

But seriously, nice write-up. Everytime I read one of these posts I am made jealous how much stuff you guys have access to that we just can't get here. (Yes, I know we can get the CMS-GE - but we can't get the TS bits).

That's a nice looking setup for sure. I hope it serves you well!
